Culture and art are social undertakings with profound humanity, they play the role of a social regulator, they help society develop, create social psychological balance, create emotions and sublimate humanity. Therefore, Can Tho College of Culture and Arts was born to satisfy the needs of learning and enjoying culture of the masses.

Can Tho College of Culture and Arts was established on February 28, 2017 under Decision No. 249/QD-LDTBXH of the Minister of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs, formerly Can Tho College of Culture and Arts (formerly Can Tho College of Culture and Arts). The school has the task of training, fostering, and linking training of human resources in the fields of culture, arts, and information for Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.

As the first and only college in the Mekong Delta, the school has constantly improved and developed. From a few initial training majors, the school has consolidated and expanded. Currently, the school is training 07 college majors, 15 intermediate majors, and training 08 university majors.

In addition to its training mission, Can Tho College of Culture and Arts is also responsible for scientific research in the field of exploiting and promoting the effects of traditional cultural and artistic capital, in parallel with the popularization of modern art forms in the direction of satisfying and positively orienting the development of the public’s need for cultural enjoyment in the period of international integration.

Can Tho College of Culture and Arts was established and developed:

  • Can Tho High School of Culture and Arts (1995 – 2008).
  • Can Tho Intermediate School of Culture and Arts (2008 – 2017).
  • Can Tho College of Culture and Arts (2017 – present).
